We came in quite late in the afternoon and found it to be clean and dry. The staff were friendly and the food was fine. Nothing amazing but certainly nothing wrong with this place.

We had mixed experiences here. Came in for lunch once but it was so chaotic, and the only available table was full of dirty dishes and no one around to clean it, that we left. Bought an espresso (mocha) to go twice and they were very well done, much better than typical in UK I would say. But came once,... More

Absolutely lovely food and welcoming staff. Had breakfasts and afternoon snacks, cannot rate quality and freshness of food enough. Our dog Peggy will miss it hugely.

I popped in on my last day in Grasmere to get a quick coffee and a pastry. Coffee was great and the selection of pastries and food on offer was brilliant. I ended up going for crumpets - they were lush. Very friendly and ideally located.

Managed one night away in a busy Easter holiday away from work and holiday. Completely relaxed for 24 hours. Wonderful welcome and hearty breakfast. Room 1 with balcony to enjoy the evening bubbles. Shame we had to leave.

Start the day before your walk with the bacon and scrambled egg - not a feast in the traditional sense but a truly tasty breakfast. The coffee is pretty good too. Competitive pricing (ie not cheap) but worth every penny. Lots of footfall whilst we were sat there - folks calling in for take away grub - has to say... More

We looked in the windows of a few little cafe's in Grasmere before choosing on this one and we were glad we did. Lovely friendly service and a very quaint little place to have a rest and get some lunch. Dogs were made very welcome too. Drinks were unnecessarily expensive- but having said that there was no where in town... More
