The bar is part of the Dale Lodge Hotel. Beware: there is no food service in the afternoon (only lunch and dinner). Prices: (well) above average. Food was "OK" - nothing special - easy to prepare. But the service is not great. You are made...More

Visited on the recommendation of the owner of our B&B in Grasmere. Large range of ales and gins etc. Nice vibe about the place food was of a good quality - could perhaps have more vegetarian choice - overall worth the visit.

Proper pub menu. Food looks lovely. Coffee very nice and good selection of soft drinks. Real ales look great with a lovely selection of local ales. Like the decor, warm and welcoming bit missing comfy seats and soft furnishings. Huge beer garden. Great for a...More
