Nice setting, lovely views but unfortunately the bloke who served us was extremely grumpy. Didn't utter a single word at all when serving us. Will not be going back.

Couldn't go walking, so the next best thing was the pub! A couple of pints and a game of dominos soon passed a couple of hours until the rain stopped. Didn't eat but what food we saw looked good.
Stopped in for a drink and ended up having Sunday lunch. The food was everything that I expected from a roast dinner at a good price. The "Sun" is in an elevated position so the restaurant enjoys beautiful views across the surrounding countryside. Well worth...More

I organised a 40th anniversary reunion for 15 University climbing friends. In advance we got the menu and booked our meals. We were delighted to find that the dinner was to be served at a single large table in the conservatory, giving us a great...More
Hadn't been in here for many many years but the Black Bull couldn't accommodate our party of 14 on a Saturday night so we went here. We had a superb table in the conservatory with amazing views over the village and lake - our waitress...More
