I love classy buildings and the decor with high ceilings and open fire is just up my street. The ales were very good and I enjoyed a couple of Old Peculier a favorite of mine.

As part of a weeks stay at Coniston we visited the Yewdale on several occasions with our dog. The service was second to none and our dog was made particularly welcome. We ate in the restaurant, at one of their dog friendly tables. Service was...More
I had been on a very cold and wet walk in the morning, we were looking for a "warmer" and here we found it! Gorgeous lamb stew and dumplings - exactly what I needed!

Sadly we got there just after 2:00pm and were told we couldn't have lunch. So we ordered a large coffee and a muffin each. Whilst both were OK (not great) they certainly weren't worth the cost charged. Very disappointing
The staff here were extremely friendly. We sat in the bar area and had our evening meal. They couldn't have done any more for us. The meal itself was very nice and the ambience was good too. Will definitely return
Lovely environment which was in top decorative order. The bar and serving staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the sandwiches we had were delicious, great value for money....and, large! Coffee tasted like coffee and the beers top-notch!
