Second visit to Castle bar and once again the food was excellent. Staff were very attentive and courteous. The dining room setting along with relaxed bar atmosphere downstairs provides the best of both worlds. Will definitely return.
On the face of it, and when you go inside, this looks like an old pub, however, through the back and upstairs, there is a big restaurant which serves delicious food and has a friendly staff.

The meat pie was deep filled with excellent beef with a perfect crust. The staff are very efficient and pleasant. the beer is very good too!
Don't be put off by the bar downstairs, the restaurant is upstairs and has very good decor with exposed old brick etc. The menu was reasonably standard, however had a number of extras and everything was well cooked.
We had an excellent Sunday lunch here. Roast beef was very good and all the vegetables very good too. Service was good. We sat by the window overlooking the street, perfect Sunday relaxing.No more needed.
