Had a lovely Blue Lady tea & slice of cake at Sheila's. Lovely place, friendly staff & great cake! Perfect stop for a rainy afternoon.

Good place to eat whether you only want a snack or a full meal. It's open as a restaurant in the evenings too. Lovely old building.
Quaint little restaurant at the top of The Slack in Ambleside. Warm welcome on arrival, and taken to our table immediately. The food was very nice, well presented, plentiful and reasonably priced. The place was very busy, and had a nice atmosphere.Would definitely go again and recommend.

We came across this restaurant on a wet November lunchtime in Ambleside. What a find! Interesting dishes beautifully prepared and presented. And the best chips we have had for some time. We will return.
