Had a great meal here. We ALL loved our meals & the service was really good. We were all really disappointed with the house red & white wines. We managed to drink them but without enjoyment & ordered another red off the wine list & were again disappointed. The Reds were on the cold side. Could not fault the meal,... More

We went to Lucy's last year whilst in Ambleside and had a fantastic night so couldn't wait to go again to be "Lucified" on the early evening special . Unfortunately tonight's experience wasn't near to last years. Rather than be seated in the main part of the restaurant we were put in the conservatory part, which seemed to be reserved... More

Late Monday arrival with our daughter who had just arrived from Birmingham. Great friendly service from all the staff and not at all rushed even though we were the last to leave. Lovely meal, would definitely recommend

We went for an early evening dinner and really enjoyed our meal. The staff were really friendly and the food was great - huge, hearty portions which were appreciated on a wet, cold night. Varied, unusual choices on the menu which make a nice change from the usual. The personalised menus are a very nice, welcoming touch.

Booked a table for 4 to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday, i'd mentioned it was a special occasion when I booked and he got a special mention in the menu pre-amble which was a nice touch. Good choice of dishes many using locally sourced ingredients - everything was perfect, the atmosphere is friendly but special, all the waiting staff were... More

We recently celebrated my daughter's 30 th birthday at Lucy's. It was such a welcoming place to walk into with its fairy lights and candles. There was a balloon on the table and bubbly to start the celebrations. A little mention on the menu was another lovely touch! We all enjoyed our meals- Italian chicken, hake and chips, tagine, shepherds... More

We were in Ambelside seeing my wife's daughter at the university, so were keen to give her a couple of good meals. We also brought Alfie ( our schnauzer ) with us so had to find restaurant that allowed dogs. We Lucy's fit the bill. They allowed dogs and the food was delightful.

Visited today with my partner and had a lovely meal at lunchtime. Very reasonably priced and a good selection of interesting food to be had. We opted for the sharing mezze and thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was impeccable...only downside was the fact that they had the same song playing on repeat the whole time that we were there.

Interesting menu and the food was nice too. We shared a mezze platter which was beautiful and fresh. Did not give full 5 rating as the same song played on repeat the whole time we were in there which was annoying.
