Had a lovely lunch here recently. Dogs are welcome at lunchtimes, sadly not in the evening or we would definitely have returned for dinner.

We met a friend for lunch having already checked out the menu online. Yes, it is a sandwich and chips for £10, but what a sandwich and great chunky chips. Served on a platter with fresh hand cut bread and plenty of filling, salad and...More

We've been visiting the Duck for over 15 years. Back then it was linen table cloths and attentive waiters. Whilst it is not now so elevated, the quality of the food and service are still as good.

We had been recommended this gastro-pub as the best place to eat in the Coniston area. Whilst I am pleased to have tried it, I cannot go overboard about it. To be fair, the food was very good and we appreciated that, as well as...More

If you find yourself put off by the excessive praise garnished upon the restaurant industry these days you may find the experience of the Drunken Duck forced and slightly tacky. Firstly to the menu - the options are of the English rustic shire variety. Plenty...More
