Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed the fresh mussels and king prawns to start. For main course, we both had the skate wing from the specials board, very fresh fish and good-sized portions, served with new potatoes and veg. Also the Crusader pale ale was excellent. For desert, we...had a chocolate fudge cake, served with vanilla ice-cream and even a sliced strawberry added! Great venue with sea views. Glad to be back.More

Had dinner here yesterday evening - best skate I have ever had! The menu was extensive - the service and friendliness of the waiter (should have got his name) was great - will definitely be back.

We booked a roast for Easter Sunday after seeing the lovely reviews- we were not disappointed. Everything was wonderful. The staff were lovely and very attentive without being overbearing. The food was delicious, we had roast pork and roast beef, served with huge selection of...vegetables and cauliflower cheese. Deserts were so tasty, profiteroles sundae and bread and butter pudding. Portion sizes were very generous, and the setting was lovely. Prices were very reasonable too. Would definitely recommend this place, cannot wait to go back.More

Visited twice on the same day. Visited in afternoon to finish off a walk along coast. Great beers and very welcoming staff. After evening meal looking for a place to have a final drink for the evening and couldn't resist a return visit. Staff very...welco0ming. Made a point of coming over to table after we had sat down to give dog a treat.. Great selection of beers, staff very welcoming, well worth visiting if you want a good beer and AN enjoyable couple of hoursMore

Visited over the bank holiday weekend. Sadly not serving food currently but stopped by for a couple of drinks. Very good service and drinks selection. Venue is away from the main tourist area which will appeal to some. Great views from the area as you’re...up high. Worth a visitMore

I’ve always liked this pub. It’s very homely. I’ve always liked their roasts too. Last one a few years ago wasn’t so good, however chefs change. My recent visit on Sunday was great. The roast was perfect and the staff are all friendly and efficient....Great live music too 😊More

We visited for the first time to have Sunday lunch and didn't know what to expect. We had the 3 courses and all 4 of us enjoyed every course and thought it was very good value for money. Just one criticism, the service was a...little slow, but it did not spoil our visit. We will certainly return when we next visit Ramsgate.More

Popped in for Sunday lunch back in August. The lunch and beer were fine. The staff were helpful but think they could have made better use of the space. We ended up sitting next to a large family gathering who were as you would expect...quite noisy. There was plenty of other space available and it all felt a little bit like - this is your spot and we do not worry about your experience now you are here!More
