As far as Indian restaurants, go the food here was pretty good very flavoursome. The let down was the interior of the restaurant very dated and going to the bathroom was basically like going to the outhouse

We had a Sunday lunch in this Indian restaurant which was a nice cosy old building in Canterbury Medieval town. The menu was extensive and the price very reasonable. They serve the dishes with hot plates to keep them warm. Nice for a casual occasion but not for special occasions as it is a bit dated and the bathrooms too.... More

This was what Indian restaurants used to be like in the 1980s and 90s. Everything from the decor to the menu can't have changed in years. It was also a bit cramped inside. Despite all this, the food was actually very pleasant and not too badly priced. A perfectly acceptable place to go for a curry, but don't expect luxury.

Lovely cosy little restaurant with delicious food and an excellent vegetarian menu. We were made to feel very welcome even though we stayed beyond closing time. Rana, the waiter could not have been more pleasant or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for him. Will definitely go there again on my next visit to Canterbury. Lois

I got a lot of takeaway from here when I was going to UKC. When my family from the US came to visit I also brought them, and they all are still raving about it. If I ever get back to Canterbury I'll be there in a heartbeat.

This is a small, unpretentious, pleasant spot with excellent Indian food. Especially liked the saag paneer and vegetable bhaji, but everything we had was delicious. The service was good, and it was overall an excellent meal at a reasonable price. (I would note that some of the tables are at very close quarters but happily we sat at the window... More

We booked a table for Saturday evening as we knew it would be busy,we arrived on time to find that the manager had not reserved a table and expected us to sit by the door in the takeaway area, which we refused to do. Our name was in his book but he'd obviously let the table go to other customers.... More

This Indian restaurant was the first to open in Canterbury and has been here since Geoff Hurst and the boys done us proud in 1966 I had my first Indian here back in 1973, I have bee eating here on and off ever since. To me it is always good, maybe I'm little biased and a bit forgiving but if... More
