This review is about the elevated restaurant by the windows, not the farmer's market. We have dined here for several special occasions, including birthdays and Valentine's Day. Every visit so far has been an absolute pleasure. The food is delicious and locally sourced with high quality ingredients. The staff (especially the young, blonde waiter) were very friendly and helpful. There... More

This review is about the restaurant, not the farmer's market. I had a 3 course lunch preceeded by the the cocktail of the day! The food was delicious, portions sizes sensible and served well. Although we took our time, there was no attempt to hurry us. The venue is just outside Canterbury West station, with the restaurant area raised up... More

We went to look at this place for lunch , but ended up not eating there for no other reason than I didn't want a big meal, but we had a good wander around. What a fabulous place, Kent at its finest, local produce, nice staff, everyone friendly and knowledgable and some fabulous fresh produce, with lots of different pockets,... More

Popped in for breakfast in restaurant today (23rd December) prior to Christmas shopping. Arrived 8.15 and only two tables of 2 already there. Greeted by a very pleasant young waitress. Sat at the end by the kitchen and ordered - to be honest bearing in mind the number of people there it was quite a while before order was taken.... More

Can't fault, staff, wine or food very impressed for first visit. However my biggest and worst memory was the tunnel of smokers we had to walk through on arrival. 12 people all outside the main entrance and ramp walk way creating a huge smoking area and made everything smell on arrival. Real let down to the venue please create a... More

Faultless and delicious, we would definitely recommend the mussels and the halibut, the dessert of poached pear with iced goats cheese was divine. Will definitely be returning.

It's just a really nice place to be. The food is like your Mum's if She'd been a top chef. The service is smiley, cookie but always NICE. It's personal here...there's plenty of love in the food. The wine isn't a rip off. It has more heart than any gastropub. Plus it's seasonal, local produce...Kent's Best

Dinner with friends. very convenient for Canterbury West Station and so great for train. Friendly relaxed setting. Gadds beer available which is a bonus. Nice starter of venison pate, but would have been nice to have more than half a slice of toast - strange that they think you want 4 times more pate than toast! Halibut main was excellent... More

I visited on a friday lunchtime and it already seemed reasonably busy. Service was very capable, but the real star is the food, lovely and delicious. The eating area is on a raised platform area whilst the rest of the building is a farmers market with all sorts of produce from a wine merchants to a better choice of chorizo... More

Went to The Goods Shed for Saturday lunch whilst staying in Canterbury. It is off the main drag of Canterbury right next to Canterbury WEst Station - in fact the table we had overlooked the platform! We arrived early at the venue as the weather was turning and asked to see if we could be seated early and we were... More
