Called in here for breakfast on a recent visit to Canterbury. There were 9 of us and we were greeted and seated with a warm and friendly welcome. When I came to write this review, I was a little shocked at some of the poor reviews because we found our experience here to be really enjoyable. Between the 9 of... More

Yob know love or hate it. I like the vibe they are going for. I am a bit of a US sports freak and was excited about the pancakes and american style options. Service was painfully slow as there was only one girl serving. The food was ok but considering the price I think one could expect better. It wasn't... More

After reading the bad reviews, I was hesitant to come here, but we felt like pancakes and this place looked liked it sold quite the variety. Had the one with 2 bacon, 2 sausages, scrambled eggs, 2 pancakes with syrup. The eggs weren't completely tasteless like I expected (because of a previous customers review)... just that you had to add... More

visited during boxing day sales. For a place that advertises it speciality as American pancakes, they were terrible, my wife had one bite of hers and left the rest. They are dry, stale, thick, almost scone-like and tasteless. I had American breakfast and the sausage looked and tasted like boiled/microwaved rather than fry/grilled, scrambled eggs basic microwave but ok, as... More

Visited early afternoon for a light snack. Was impressed with the wide range of milkshake and syrup choices. The cafe had been decorated for Halloween and looked fantastic. I was also impressed with the children's corner, although I didn't have my children with me on this trip I can imagine it is great for entertaining little ones! The lady who... More

Got breakfast here on a Tuesday morning in the run up to Christmas. The decor was basic but pretty good with some nice touches regarding the history of the place - mention of monks' passages in the cellar, claiming to be in the birthplace of the Americano and so on. The service was also really friendly. All good but the... More

My companion likes American pancakes so took him here for a treat to start our grand day out to tunnels, bunkers and castles for his birthday. He approved, which is actually pretty important because he is the pro in relation to pancakes. So, pancakes were top stuff, the vanilla milk shake to die for and the whole lot was pretty... More

We popped into this cafe after spotting the sign outside for a cream tea and hot drink for £4. We could not believe that it came with 2 scones - excellent value for money. The scones were very fresh and had been slightly warmed. However, it was spoilt a little by the tea arriving at the table as a teabag... More

We cane today to have a birthday breakfast my husband and I and we found one table available outside with only one chair. I went inside and asked the girl behind the counter if I could grab a chair from inside so we could sit with our dog outside, she said she would bring it as she had to ask... More
