First visit, booked a roast to help heal us after a Saturday bank holiday pub crawl. £50 for a joint to be shared, bought to you table. Top quality food, great veg and Yorkshire and plenty of food, quarter of a joint taking home! Only complaint would be not hot enough.. hot plates would have helped. Staff friendly and helpful.... The staff are great! Even recommended a good wine! The lamb wrap was fresh and tasty. The small plates were beautifully presented and tasted good! Great place with friendly staff!

My old school friends and I recently met in Winchester for a reunion. We wanted a place for lunch that was relaxing and informal with good food. I suggested we come here based on other trip advisor reviews - I'm so glad that I'd done some research first because I don't think we'd have come across it otherwise, it being... More

Enjoyed the Green Man for drinks and large group occasions before (various back rooms can cater for groups). Came for food with two friends, and the experience was great, staff friendly and competent. Downstairs has some booths and alcoves and nice dark lighting, upstairs more of a dining room where we were. Food? the menu is not large and it... More

Booked The Outhouse for my 60th birthday bash. Highly recommended - lovely intimate characterful venue - professional, friendly and flexible staff who really helped to make the event special. Thank you Grace!

Wow real serious service and restaurant in the old fashioned British way yet with all the modern twists that make it the head to place for your meal or drink. Great good, menu and service.

booked a table for a meal and was in the bar - so rather noisy/lively rather than intimate. Good food but i would suggest best for drinks (and the great gin selection) with food on the side rather than main purpose of dinner. conveniently located for the cinema.

Been to The Green Man a few times now. The cocktails are always lovely. Not the typical ones you'd see on a standard menu but more inventive and original concoctions. Can't fault them at all. The place itself is also quirky with nice antique touches and stylish little nooks to sit comfortably. In the evening in particular it's really intimate... More

The Green Man is so much more than a pub. It is a little enclave of hospitality; a stylish hang-out, and a great meeting place for friends, family or an intimate tete-a-tete.

At The Green Man we specialise in locally sourced produce, resulting in an array of interesting and scrumptious dishes.  All of that, coupled with lovely, bubbly staff and wonderfully welcoming service, makes The Green Man a rather special place to be.

Come and join us in our eclectic retro furnished bar. Enjoy a great choice of beers, an impressive and very well researched wine list (hic!), and our specialty cocktails, not forgetting of course our rather unique boutique spirits list.

We're just a stone's throw away (4 minutes to be precise) from the historic Winchester Cathedral, surrounded by culture, and noted as a hidden gem in the old capital of England. Not only do we have a very cool and relaxing bar area, but we also have an exquisite Edwardian style dining room, which is the perfect place for a Sunday roast or destination dinner. And if you are looking for that special venue for your forthcoming event then our Outhouse is a quirky mixture of rustic and industrial style; ideal for birthday's, afternoon tea's and specialty vintage weddings.
