Had small cod and chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and the tartar sauce. All was cooked beautifully. Will definitely be going back when next in Hastings. Service great. Top supper.

We hadn't booked but were lucky to get a table even though it was near the end of a wintry Wednesday lunchtime. I chose the catch of the day which was locally sourced skate in a deliciously light and crisp batter. The café is on...More

We booked in case they were busy on a Sunday and got a great table near the windows, which look out to sea. We got great service, fantastic fish and chips (including rock salmon which was the catch of the day) and excellent scampi. The...More

Got a table today as they were not too busy. Very friendly staff, reasonably priced food. The cod and chips were delicious, loved the thin batter as sometimes batter can be a bit like a greasy blanket, the fish and chips were certainly not greasy....More

Sorry, I've no idea. I've never seen any dogs there but that doesn't mean they don't. Just call and check. Hopefully for you they will.

Lots of public car parks near by. However during the day, the queues for them can be huge!

Here at Maggie's we're in our third decade of serving you hearty portions of the freshest fish, cooked to order, in a warm and welcoming cafe - the same traditional family-friendly approach as when Margaret Banfield first put her name above the door. We're right on the Fisherman's Beach - so you'll enjoy some spectacular views while you tuck in to our fish, direct from the market below us and our specials are straight off the boats with the morning catch - keeping a carbon footprint of less than 20 miles. You can't get fresher than that! Maggie's is licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. We are open six days a week, but it's advisable to call us ahead to reserve your table, and if you've got a special occasion, we welcome parties of up to 40 guests.
