What can I say about this restaurant. It is hidden up a small lane in Brighton. It was a last minute booking and they fitted us in. We ordered two meals that appeared to be something standard, but they were so much more than what...More

We have been dining at "The House" for a few years now and feel that the time is right to give the management a sincere "pat on the back". The food and service are always of high standard at a very reasonable price. Although usually...More

Slight mess up on the order which the waitress handled superbly. The food was excellent and probably one of the best roast Sunday dinners i've had in a while. Well done to the management, keep it up.

Food was only slightly better than average. Steak was well cooked and service was very nice. Good for everyday eating and the prices reflect that.

We’ve been here a few times now and never failed to be treated to excellent food. It’s small, so well worth booking in advance but well, well worth it. The visit for my wife’s birthday last Wednesday however, was beyond expectations. From the warm greeting...More

There is a small area to the right of the door as you come in where my family and I had a drink whilst we were waiting for one of our party to park

Hello, The restaurant makes no claims to that and if they did I imagine they would advertise it. I suggest you contact Restaurants Brighton for more information. Have a nice day

Nestled amongst Brightons famous Lanes, filled with bohemian cafes and boutiques, is The House Restaurant a favourite hang-out for Brighton's foodies. Located only minutes away from the seaside and the Royal Pavilion, The House Restaurant is a cosy establishment spread over two floors in a converted Victorian house decorated with a modern vanilla and chocolate brown colour scheme. The food here is modern British, and specialties include beef Wellington and steak - customers come back again and again for the sirloin and fillet steaks, all tender, cooked to order and served with your choice of chunky chips or new potatoes. The extensive menu has something for everyone including, this being Brighton, a great range of vegetarian choices. Weather permitting (or even if it doesnt theres heating!), theres a lovely outdoor terrace set in a cobbled sheltered square in the south Lanes.
