Excellent service, excellent food. Varied menu, good choices for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. The best vegetarian restaurant in Brighton by a mile, and one of the best we have visited in the UK. Non-vegetarians are missing out if they don't visit here. Booking ahead strongly advised for this popular restaurant.

Went for dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday. Booked a table for 7pm, however we were very early and asked if we could dine earlier. The staff were extremely helpful and showed us to a lovely table by the window almost immediately. Our lovely waiter Charlie explained many of the dishes which we were unfamiliar with... More

Visited here with a friend and my son - who is at Uni in Brighton. My friend and I are not vegetarians, but as my son is, we decided to eat here. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I did not miss having meat/fish as the food was so flavoursome and delicious. And, the service was excellent, too!

Portion size spot on and Reasonably priced. Staff make this place- Ovi was knowledgable of menu and passionate about customer service and delivering to a high standard. The Atmosphere - relaxed, modern and friendly... More

Having visited Food for Friends several times a year for the last few years, I couldn't help but feel during my most recent visit last week that the quality and design of the menu has declined somewhat. The sharing platter to start with was pleasant enough, but nothing particularly remarkable, and I personally found the two raw/salad additions on the... More

Only wanted a 'lightish' lunch so had the sharing platter for 2, preceded by the bread and olives and followed by desserts. It was perfect, the food is very tasty, service good with a wait between courses that is just long enough.

It had been a number of years since id visited Food for Friends, following a very poor experience (hence the long break), but thought it was time to give it another try. The service was grand, although the odd angle of the table made it a bit tight with the others. We went for the wines recommended alongside the choices... More

Definately recommend - fresh good in enjoyable atmosphere with some comfy seating too. Good place for a leisurely lunch - just as the name suggests.
