My friend and I had lunch at The Regency Restaurant on October 3, 2017 during our only day trip out of London to Brighton. Conveniently, the Gatwick Express that we took from the airport north into London’s Victoria Station also goes down south past the...More

Popped in here for breakfast while down in Brighton. Breakfast was usual fry up standard. Annoyed they butter your toast but sure you can ask them not to. Reasonable price

Visited the Regency Restaurant for an evening meal, we were seated quickly and were surprised how busy it was as it was a Wednesday. Good restaurants should be busy though!! Great selection of food, especially seafood, excellent size portions. Friendly and attentive staff. Will definitely...More

We ate here last night and I’m so glad we did. My husband and I both had the haddock and chips and it was gorgeous. Being from Scotland we’re a bit spoilt in the skin is always taken off the whole fish but I just...More

This place offers great value and consistent service. It isn’t top end fine dining and possibly not even the best fish and chips in Brighton but when you combine location, value for money, menu choice and atmosphere , it comes out tops.

On promenade. Lots of different fish. Typical friendly Italian waiters. Good draught beer. Try to get a seat at the back because very draughty at front. Will be back.

No prizes for anything here, but a good honest meal. The food was just fine. No frills or anything fancy, just a big plate. The wine was cheap and it was average, but it was just a place that doesn't break the bank, and I...More

Description
There's nowhere better to tuck into some fresh fish 'n' chips than by the seaside, and The Regency Restaurant on the King's Road is the oldest seafood restaurant in Brighton and Hove with ocean views. Famous for its fresh fish and lively atmosphere, the restaurant has become a dining institution with both locals and visitors from out of town and boasts a cheery red and white tiled terrace that looks out over the West Pier, and a cosy dining room perfect for leisurely lunches and relaxed evening meals. The Regency Restaurant serves everything from locally caught fish to lobster, oysters, mussels, Dover sole, crab, prime Scotch steaks and a variety of vegetarian options along with an excellent wine list.
