Honestly, this place is as good as it gets. Central (more or less) in Brighton, yet far enough away from the pier that you won't be ripped off. Found this place online by simply searching Brighton pubs - I imagine word will get out and...More

Hidden gem with nice staff and seating outside all a bit designer beers and lagers and in its original condition. Does get busy but staff quick to serve.

Came here to shelter from the rain and for a few drinks. Very busy but found a table and the beers were great. They had a good selection of draught beers and we both enjoyed a lovely Butcombe Gold. A welcome break from some of...More

6 of us turned up with no booking, no problem, staff were excellent, couldn't do enough for us and the food was very tasty, fresh and hot. Oh, and the beer was good as well .

Great little pub tucked away in the North Laines. Gets very busy, if you want to eat you might have to wait for a table. Food is very nice. Real Ales and great atmosphere.

Unique atmosphere, locals of all ages, shapes and sizes: great beer. What more could you want? Well try the trip down memory lane looking at all the old tins (from tobacco to cough drops!). Great fun and a nice size.

We lunched on Barnsley chop with an amazing tomato and mint salsa, and we shared a cheeseboard. It was the best food we have ever eaten in a pub. The place could do with a facelift but the food, ambiance and selection of beers made...More

Has to go to Brighton for work and we were looking for somewhere traditional to stop off and have a drink and something to eat. Stumbled across it through a cute alley way. Customers appeared to be regulars which can be a little daunting and...More
