Always good atmosphere and welcoming staff. Highly recommend good food even better prices all fresh and simply delicious. If you're coupled up lots of sport shows however still great to be in if you're not(personal experience as I'm not much into footy or rugby). Been coming here for few years now and always good people great conversations week or weekend.... More

Went to the eddy to watch the rugby and got drawn in by the smell of food. Place was very well presented and the staff were lovely and quick to please you. Plenty of tv screens and a menu of what was on. Food was brilliant and please try the chilli chips and the chicken wings. Burgers were very good... More

Great pub, great atmosphere. Always a treat when I come down to Brighton. Used to come in here when I did my laundry and always looked forward to it. Will visit again.

Watched England narrowly defeat the better team here this afternoon. Packed out but remained functional. Good attentive bar staff, well behaved customers, youngest in the bar was a baby, oldest probably me. About five minutes from Brighton station. Pub has many screens but retains some charm. Boozy.

This is the local to where I work and we are in here a couple of times a month at least. Burger and beer for a tenner, the burgers are really good quality. Staff are all friendly too. Tend to run out of burgers pretty quick on a busy day so get in early!

All in all a lovely pub with a good atmosphere, had it not been for the almost inedible fried chicken! More salt than the sea, Reminded me of little chef or kfc with none of the good bits.

Thank you for your review & feedback. We are very sorry to hear that the fried chicken was not well prepared & we will take it to the kitchen to ensure better results next time. We still hope to see you back! More

Just been in for a last minute Sunday lunch. Very impressed with the food. The pub has "character" and isn't a "high class establishment". But if you want good pub food and friendly service this definitely works. My Fiancee had roast beef and said it was tasty and really tender. I had the Heart Attack burger with blue cheese and... I really like this pub. Its good a really cool atmosphere and amazing food. Their pies are the best. They had a haggis burger the first time I went there and i fell in love with it, but sadly they don't have it any more :( I think that burger was just a special for that day/week. Anyway, good food.... More

Have the Freedom lager, it's delicious. And the burger deals on Friday are great (2 for 1) - I love the Mexican burger (a flat mushroom with all the flavours in a wrap). You can't get better - so satisfying.

Locally know as "The Eddy", this pub really is a true home from home. Serving great home-made food, a wide selection of drinks and freshly made coffee - The Edinburgh is well worth searching off the beaten track for.

Locally sourced products are used throughout the menu, which features top-quality classic "pub grub" with a hint of Scandinavian influence, topped with a bit of Mexican & Continental jus. The quality food paired with the buzzing friendly atmosphere of The Edinburgh make this local pub the perfect place to escape from "tourist Brighton" and soak up the local atmosphere at it's very best.
