In a prior life I lived in Brighton and duly purchased Ackroyd's august tome 'Brighton's Best Pubs'. Over the course of several years I dutifully and happily worked my way through most of his principal recommendations. The Camelford Arms was not one of them - a surprising omission from an otherwise quite reliable body of work. The Camelford Arms is... More

We went to this pub for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. The food was excellent and being an Aussie I was pleasantly surprised to see they had my favourite wine Oyster Bay. The bar staff were really friendly and welcomed us like they had known us forever

We are staying in Brighton for work and have our little dog with us so need to find 'dog friendly ' places to eat dinner. Well what a find! I would definitely recommend this traditional pub with great food! The pies are home made and gorgeous!!! 😋staff where very friendly too! Can't wait to go back.

Had a great rib of beef with loadsa veg yorkie and gravy One of the best I had eaten Staff were polite and service excellent My only quibble is the wait I think it was an hour and 20 minutes before we got our meal So take crisps as a starter

Had a good pub lunch here - the fish and chips were lovely and HUGE! Veggie sausage and mash was also good although the gravy was lacking in flavour. Biggest down was that the pub smelt quite a bit of the toilets!

Decided to come out for lunch - love this gay pub ,great atmosphere, no kids allowed and dog friendly. Had the best sirloin steak ever as most places can't cook - this place can. Will definately be back very soon !

Great place, Lovely food and friendly staff. The food is great but make sure you go really hungry as the portions are high. Highly recommend.

Our team met here for dinner before the Brighton marathon. We were made very welcome, so was our dog. The vegetarian menu was wonderful. Good atmosphere.

Roomy local pub in handy location just off sea front in Kemp Town offering a friendly welcome and a short menu of pub classics. Service was quick, food was well presented and with good sized portions. Definitely worth a visit.

A last minute decision to pop in here ... shame really, as the food really was not very inspired ... I found my portion too large as well, some of my peas rolled off my plate at one point. A tad expensive as well, compared to other pub food in Brighton.

Our pub has a simple approach - to be the sort of pub we would love to go to ourselves. No loud music, no attitude, where everyone is welcome. Whether you live near by, work near by or have travelled from far afield you will be guaranteed a hearty 'hello' and welcomed to spend a few moments or the whole evening. Our only requirement of our guests is that they are nice and friendly. (Our licence requires one other thing, that you must be over 18 years of age).
