These gardens are always well maintained and looked after. So many pretty plants and flowers to see, a busker or two to listen too. Very tidy, which is not how the rest of Brighton is these days.

I had a nice hot chocolate from the cafe, however my friend had a bacon sandwich which was very poor. Would recommend avoiding food there and finding somewhere else nearby for food

Delightful family run cafe with fabulous food reasonably priced and the drinks are good value. Lovely on a sunny day and lots of shade. Can get a long queue but near the loos! Beware of the seagulls.

The cafe is situated just off the Pavilion Gardens. The view of the Royal Pavilion is lovely to look at whilst whiling away some time relaxing in the cafe. There is much to chose from in the cafe from sandwiches, salads, cakes and drinks. Service...More

Sorry you did not think our food was good, we make rock cakes and scones on the premises to compliment other homemade cakes. We also make all sandwiches, baguettes, salads and jacket potatoes fresh to order. We will try to do better next time. On...More

Spend a few hours here yesterday, primarily selling raffle tickets for a local cause. David and his staff were so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much. Whilst there, I sampled one of their famous rock buns and a coffee .. perfect. And for lunch...More

The opening of the Pavilion Gardens Café is a sign that Spring is here and is attended by many and as it is not publicised it is always so pleasing to see the tables and chairs. The sun was shining and there were a few...More

The key thing about this little cafe is it’s location next to the Brighton Pavilion and it’s outdoor seating on the edge of the gardens. The coffee and tea are nothing special and the cakes are expensive for measly portions but it’s a lovely place...More

The Museum suggested we eat lunch here, and we were not disappointed. Freshly toasted sandwiches served cheerfully with a salad and a cuppa. Tasty. So good in fact, we returned for afternoon tea to enjoy one of their traditional rock cakes. Mr T would be...More

No we do not - however when this topic first hit the headlines I thought about it for a while. In practice I am not sure whether it would work at our cafe, I'd need to be convinced by other local operators of the scheme

Established in 1941 in the gardens adjacent to the Royal Pavilion. The cafe is very popular with customers and known for its famous rock cakes baked on the premises daily. Now located between the Royal Pavilion and Theatre Royal and close to the Brighton Dome right in the heart of the Cultural Quarter. This is an Oasis in the Heart of the City.
