Pastries are awesome. Also try Pistachio macaroons. Few more are good too. Avoid dark color macaroons. They are not that good. I love the pastries/ cakes from this shop. I think that's my life's best pastry.

WE traditionally take afternoon tea in London during August for my daughter's birthday, this year we decided to go to Brighton instead. We were attracted to this cafe by the lovely looking french macarons and cakes. The website made it seem cosy and intimate, serving traditional afternoon tea. In reality it was tiny and cramped, seating about 20 people, who... More

We had a wonderful time! Delicious food. We stayed In south-England for two weeks and came here twice. Staff very friendly and helpful. The macarons were a dream and of high quality. Would recommend to everyone!

I planned a break in Brighton for my partner's 40th birthday and wanted to surprise him with a box of French macarons in the room ready for when we arrived. I rang and spoke to one of the girls in the cafe who asked me what sort of flavours he liked and she picked out 14 beautiful macarons which were... More

Every time I'm in Brighton, I stop here on my walk down from the station and have a cake. However, the last 2 times I've been they've had no chai latte, the first time I had hot chocolate instead. This time the waitress said she could still make me one, though in actuality it was just very sweet, milky tea.... More

I have never noticed this little shop n the right hand side as our walk down from Brighton station, but having stumbled across it, I was very pleasantly surprised. The window was full of scrumptious pastries and quiches and just inside the door was a Display of beautiful, olourful and net resting flavoured macaroons. We did not have time to... More

This is my go to place when I miss my beloved french pastries too much. Only place I know in the uk that makes cakes the "french" way. Everything I've had there tastes amazing. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Macaroons are superb, cakes are beautiful, pastries are a slice of home. Highly recommend the high tea. It's... More

Walk up queens road on my way home and spontaneously popped into Julien Plumart Cafe. They had a nice variety of cakes, coffee ect but I quickly spotted the wide macaron varieties! I picked 4 with help from the "barista?". I tasted all 4 on my way home and they were delicious. I'm definitely coming back for more.

We came across this baker on the bake off creme de la creme and wanted to see for ourselves. Julien Plumart has 2 cafes in Brighton and they specialise in macaron having gained taste awards for some of the innovations. The cafe is small but cosy and friendly and it does take reservations for afternoon tea. At peak times, do... More

The patisserie was really good. The macarons delicious, the cakes pretty, although oddly large and the sandwiches delicious. However the staff didn't know what was in the cakes! we're vegetarian and when I asked them to check re gelatine I was told that they don't make the cakes on the premises so they didn't know. I wonder if they are... More
