I joined some friends for a drink at Marwood in Brighton - certainly an eclectic decor, but makes for a unique location to catch up with friends! Only negative for us yesterday, the music was extremely loud and not really suited to an early afternoon cafe vibe! Aside from that, a great venue indeed!

Plenty images of rock and pop stars of my day on the walls. Ambient, not my style though. Decent coffee. Quirky sense of humor. "The cook is a Scottish alcoholic and no one can understand him". The pic of St. Mary's throngs is a killer.

I was hunting for coffee shop and just came across with it. I did not expect much but coffee came out awesome. And the place is very interesting. You should visit if you are nearby.

This is one of my regular haunts in the centre of Brighton, often choosing to meet here for coffee or a light lunch. Sadly at my last visit there was no soup, due to the soup machine breaking or something, it was unclear when soup would be back on the menu, well at least the server did not know. Still... More

Nice coffee and cakes. Good selection of speciality teas. Very unusual niknaks, unfortunately some not really suitable if you have children in tow.

It's quirky and has a lot of space, student friendly which is really nice. Very Brighton. Lots of space to use laptops and study as well. However, it's all a bit mismatched, so if you like things a bit more 'perfect' it's probably not ideal. Also, on the occasion we went, the guy serving us at the till was completely... More

Silva and I were here last weekend. The Coffee is really good two medium sized lattes £5.60!!!! Bit steep but tasted good. The counter displays some of the food on offer it looks great, filled rolls and cakes but it's all uncovered and much to close to the public, you literally are talking over the food when ordering. It's that... More

We like to think we serve pretty great coffee & some amazing homemade cakes. We are vegan & vegetarian-friendly and everything is made fresh on site. We are fans of people who bring their dogs, but also provide a dedicated laptop room upstairs to those wanting to do a little work. There's also a fully licensed bar serving until late if you want something a little boozy.
