What a fabulous place to celebrate my birthday, I really can't describe it, you have to go! The food was lovely and reasonably priced, as was the wine. Jane and her colleague made us feel really special, from the birthday message on the table to...More

My iPad-addicted nephews looked up from the screens in delight as the songs, hats and dessert came out. A quirky gem of a restaurant and a delicious South Indian curry. I have walked past BomBane's on many occasion never knowing what it was about. Cafe,...More

We visited on Film night. For the princely sum of £7.77 you get to enjoy a main course (Belgian food) and a film! The decor reminded me of Stephen Wright's House of Dreams, very outsider art. The spinning Carmen Miranda style head on the roof...More

Only heard about this charming and friendly little restaurant on Saturday just a few hours before heading there. It seems a much loved and closely guarded secret, but a place that deserves to be on everybody's list both local and visitors. Passionate owner and staff...More

Thanks to TripAdvisor I found out about Bom-Bane's when planning a birthday meal out in Brighton - somewhere with an overwhelming choice of eateries but not always offering much of a dining experience. I love unusual eating places. This one combined the intimacy of a...More

I have been to Bom-Banes for three of their shows - Bom Banimals, Saippuakivikauppias, and Merrily on High, and all three have been strange, and magical. The food has always been modest, but delicious, and fitting to the theme of the show, and the atmosphere...More

Bom-Bane's is a licensed cafe-restaurant run by musician Jane Bom-Bane and situated in the Brighton (not the Hove) George St. It features delicious Belgian and other European dishes, along with the Aesop's Tables, Tablerone, TurnTable, Twenty-Seven Chimes Table, Uns-Table and Water Table... PLease note - Tuesdays only open if we have a music night.
