I booked this as a mid week meal for a family treat. As soon as we walked in I was told children under 13 had to be out by 8pm. Our son is nearly 12 but I get licence laws etc. No welcome, or apology...More

This pub is set in a part of Brighton I’m not particularly familiar with, but what a treat to find somewhere so lovely. A big open bar with plenty of space but comfy sofas & a warm feel to it. The menu was perfect-good honest...More

Ate here last night, it's our local and always handy to pop in. Very disappointed with the whole experience last night. Considering the pub wasn't that busy on a Saturday night, the staff were indifferent, it would have been a nice touch to have remembered...More

It was such a long time since I had a great lunch at a good gastro-pub. We were in four and we were all extremely delighted with our food. My wife had a burger which she enjoyed a lot, presented well and with nicely cunchy...More

Popped in for a few drinks on Christmas Day. Good choice of beers (Doom Bar plus various delicious pale ales). Have eaten in the past and the food is good but just a liquid pre-lunch on this occasion. Good landlord, friendly locals, well-behaved dogs, excellent...More

Always a struggle to find a quality roast but look no further. Consistent and always served hot. I'd say the only let down it the vibe can be a little hectic esp when the bar staff turn the upbeat music up. Understandably it helps the...More

My local. Great if you like burgers, fish and chips nice, (veggie burger too much carb) chips very good, but veggie options not so good, often very small portions, clearly don't think we eat very much. Spent £7 on a couple of small bits of...More

Locals and foodies mix in this delightfully bright and cheerful family-friendly food pub – a hidden gem, which has remained busy and buzzy since it opened six years ago. Something of a local institution, this fabulous pub serves good honest food, prepared with skill and passion. Beautifully prepared roast meals are served on Sundays from 12 to 6pm. With superb Sussex reared meats, a vegetarian and fish option as well as small portions for children, it’s hard to find a reason not to visit.
