We stopped in here on a busy Saturday night but left a little underwhelmed. The meal was ok but had clearly been prepared through a fryer or microwave. This was disappointing. The toilets were also grim. But the staff were sound and the pub itself...More

This pub is the best on all fronts. The food is simply delicious. The Eggy Bread with black pudding is a particular favourite, with the Crab Scotch egg a close second. I would also recommend the Bloody Marys (made with horseradish flavoured vodka) Mmm... All...More

The service is friendly and the first is first class. It's been on its current site since the 1860s and sees itself as the original pub in the Lanes. Attracts tourists and locals alike. It serves lovely Shepherd Neame ales and has a well established...More

Nice small pub in the lanes, good service, decent beer, definitely worth popping in on travels through the lanes. Nice, friendly bar staff.

Ate here last week, being a vegetariian the choice was limited but I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Asparagus tart to start, Glamourgan sausages for main and a woderful crumble to finish with. All homemade and highly recommende.

After seeing the reviews I thought I should say that we were actually quite disappointed with the food; it wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either. Pretty average all in all, but rather friendly staff.

Description
However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and locals alike as THE pub of The Lanes.
