A friend and I stopped for a bit of cake and a coffee whilst on a bike ride. Alfriston is beautiful, small village so we were hoping for somewhere to grab some sustenance outside in the sun - this place did not disappoint! Wonderful little...More

Hi Michelle C, We're glad to hear you enjoyed your family brunch with us. We just need to let you know that we certainly do not charge for tap water and would usually offer this to you once seated, especially as it's been so hot...More

Stopped for a cream tea. The service provided by the young lady was superb; so friendly and welcoming. Cakes and te were good too.

Delicious coffee and walnut cake. Tasted just like the receipt I used to use before I had to stop making it due to my son's nut allergy!

Went to the Singing Kettle this morning and arrived while the place was pretty busy with walkers etc. We found a seat and were soon greeted by our wonderfully friendly host, who explained there might be a little wait and would we like some drinks...More

This is a small, beautiful tearoom with a small, beautiful patio garden. Thoroughly recommend the lemon drizzle cake - which just happens to be gluten free. A calm stop when visiting Much Ado Books right opposite.

Had a fantastic meal. All is home made and high quality. The decor is fresh and the venue is really clean. A must visit when you are in the area.

Having found a seat a waitress half heartedly started to clear some of previous customers left overs. After a further 10 minutes someone else turned up to inform us they were busy so wouldn't be serving food.

Lovely little tearoom in Alfriston which is a well known gem of a village. We weren't going to have much but when we got inside the smell of smoked bacon (sorry none of the unsmoked stuff for me) cooking was irresistible so I had to...More

Overlooking the enchanting village square, the singing kettle tea house idyllically looks out on village life. Inside you'll find calming contemporary farrow & ball decor with arty wall hangings and in the warmer months you can choose to sit out front and watch the world go by, or hide away in the delightfully secluded walled garden A long established tea house with a renowned reputation for fabulous innovative cakes, sweet & savoury scones and excellent customer service. But it's much more than a tearoom, for lunch you could have one of the various takes on welsh rarebit or opt for an open sandwich or toastie on hand cut bread, maybe try the delicious soup all of which is prepared and cooked for you on the premises. It's all simply lip smacking.
