A group of us met here for an early lunch prior to having a walk in the area.
The pub was very accommodating agreeing to feed us early before they got busy later in the lunchtime.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who...More
We hadn't been here for a while, but were pleased to see that the food and service are still excellent. We had a carvery, which was good value and all beautifully cooked. The beef was still rare and the gammon moist and succulent. Have to...More

There is a varied menu at the Martyrs Inn, and the team will be pleased to look after your requirements. There are a selection of Vegetarian and Gluten Free dishes, however the dishes on the current menu that satisfy both requirements are limited, as a main course the Cauliflower Roulade is excellent. The menu is about to change to winter, and there is a good risotto going on as well.
You can always phone The Martyrs and speak with Dougie the manager and I am sure he will be pleased to help.
