Arranged to meet friends for lunch on Saturday having been recommended that this was a nice pub with decent food. On arrival were informed that they were not serving food to casual drop in customers. Both ourselves and our friends only live a 10 min. drive away. Pointed out to the staff that there were empty tables but were informed... More

Hi Adrian, I'm so sorry we couldn't accommodate on this occasion. We really were completely full with no wiggle room. We rarely have to say no and don't enjoy disappointing customers so always try our very best to fit people in, my sincere apologies we were unable to do so on this occasion. More

We dropped in on the way back from Devon not realising that you had to book in advance. Man behind bar replied "No chance, you need to book" when asked if they had a table for two. Restaurant was busy and the food looked good but that poor attitude will ensure we never return to find out if it tasted... More

Called in today for lunch, first visit for 40 years. Friendly warm welcome from the staff, very clean through out. My wife decided on the Ham, egg and chips. It was nice to have a choice of a large or small portion as she doesn't have a large appetite. I went for the specials board,Cottage pie with cheesy topping. It came... More

Called in to the brewers arms for a pint and a spot of lunch and what an amazing experience it was. The food was exceptional! Lots to choose from of the menu and the chefs specials board . The new owners and friendly staff were very helpful and accommodating. And made our afternoon very enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit, a... More

Visited on a Friday lunchtime . Was beginning to get busy . Extremely quick service , very attentive staff. Beer was good . Good variety of food on the menu - and reasonably priced. (We had beef stroganoff and Thai vegetable curries which both came with rice and bread - plus chutney with the curry) Pub is nicely laid out... More

Visited for lunch on a Wednesday, Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was well cooked and service was 5X. Would specially recommend the fixh cakes which were home made and very tasty. Having the choice of small portions was a bonus for my wife who had ham egg & chips with a double yolk egg. The sweets were equally... More

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. It looked busy, however, there was a table free. We had the Sunday lunch and it was delicious; home cooked and plentiful. Desserts were the same; plenty of choice and lovely. Service was friendly and not too intrusive. Loved the layout of the pub. Assuming I return to the area would definitely return.

Had a great meal here this evening. Very friendly welcome, cracking pint of local beer and excellent home cooked food. My steak and ale pie was rammed full of succulent beef in a thick, rich gravy.

We've been to The Brewers Arms twice now and on both occasions we've had a great time. The first time we called to book (which is advised) and the lady who answered said they were fully booked for that day. Nevertheless, she took my details and said she'd see what she could do. Five minutes later they called back and... More
