We really enjoyed our lunch today, with friends and family. The food was fresh and tasty and we were so well looked after. Lovely atmosphere and fair prices for great grub - we'll be back!

The Brewers Arms is a lovely little pub in a village setting just a few miles south west of Dorchester, the village is quiet and quite pretty, Leanne & Ben that run the place are very attentive hoasts and nothing is to much trouble. Ben welcomed us in the pouring rain and made sure we were safely settled in our... More

This is off to a very promising start. The new owners are doing an excellent job. Very nice decor, warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious and great value. Service extremely good, the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see and serve you. Everything was very clean and the food was nicely presented. I loved the fact that reserved tables... More

The Brewers Arms had been recommended by the B&B I was staying in and was told it gets busy so I made sure I reserved a table. I emailed them and Leanne was quick to respond to confirm a table would be waiting for me. I arrived soon after opening at 6pm and both ladies were very welcoming and friendly... More

2 old friends and I decided to come here for some original Dorset charm. I live in Dorchester but my friends are from London so decided this was the perfect place to show them what is special about the area. The food was excellent. Butternut squash lasagne tempted me - a non veggie - and it was delicious but I... More

I have eaten in the Brewers Arms several times in the past and never been disappointed .I had actually booked one of their rooms some while ago so when I heard via my client it had changed hands I was a little apprehensive. Leanne the new owner met us on arrival. She showed us a spacious clean and well appointed mini... More

Went to the Brewers Arms today with family. The first time for us but my family had been before. my husband opted for the roast beef which although very tasty was a little bit chewy. The roast potatoes and veg were lovely. I and the rest of the family had the steak pie and steak and Stilton pie. The best... More

Arranged to meet friends for lunch on Saturday having been recommended that this was a nice pub with decent food. On arrival were informed that they were not serving food to casual drop in customers. Both ourselves and our friends only live a 10 min. drive away. Pointed out to the staff that there were empty tables but were informed... More

Hi Adrian, I'm so sorry we couldn't accommodate on this occasion. We really were completely full with no wiggle room. We rarely have to say no and don't enjoy disappointing customers so always try our very best to fit people in, my sincere apologies we were unable to do so on this occasion. More

We dropped in on the way back from Devon not realising that you had to book in advance. Man behind bar replied "No chance, you need to book" when asked if they had a table for two. Restaurant was busy and the food looked good but that poor attitude will ensure we never return to find out if it tasted... More
