What a lovely find! Tiny, spotless little cafe, run by very delightful, friendly couple. Had an excellent full English breakfast and mug of milky coffee (two actually!). Ingredients so fresh, well cooked and presented beautifully on sparkling white plate. Other customers had variety of meals and all cooked and served freshly and quickly. Excellent choice of lunch time meals on... More

A lovely cafe, very efficiently run by a very friendly and helpful couple. Generous portions served at very reasonable prices. My wife and I visited the premises twice during a recent holiday in the area, and on both occasions were delighted with our meals and the service provided. It was also very pleasing to find good vegetarian options on the... More

This is actually in Babbacombe/St Marychurch. We popped in for drinks and snacks on Saturday afternoon - fabulous Italian hot chocolate (with hazelnut syrup) and toasted crumpets for me, and cheeseburger and tea for my husband. Ridiculously good prices for the quality you get - the above was about £6! Spotlessly clean; lovely smiley and friendly service; delicious food. Will... More

Had lunch here while visiting Babbacombe. Spotted a lunch deal, place looked clean & tidy so went in. Excellent choice-I had the sausage dinner (4 sausages, partner had fish & chips. Both came with pot of tea each. Food was hot, well cooked & served with a smile-all for £9. Would definitely recommend a visit.

I've been hitting this regularly as its conveniently placed, easy paid parking across the road (or along the same road for free). They offer a no frills breakfast and a solid cup of tea. The owners are very nice and the selection (outside of breakfast) is very good - I like these 'mom and pop' style cafes and I'd hate... More

Excellent little cafe. We visited the Model Village down the road and chose to eat here rather than there as this cafe looked better value and cosy. A pot of tea and a toasted teacake with jam for under £2 you can't go wrong. My kids wanted a sausage bap, these came and had 4 sausages each in them, they... More

I went there for lunch. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. It's a very small place with few tables, and is closed in the afternoons and evenings, but if you want a great breakfast or lunch or simply a coffee/tea and a snack, it's the kind of place you want to keep secret... Have been coming here for years now, tried a few other places for a change but nothing beats it in Torquay. Really good size breakfast (large) freshly cooked to order, and really good quality coffee. Really clean and friendly with nice atmosphere. You simply won't beat this place for value for money. Staff are always friendly and remember our order!

We were struggling to find somewhere for breakfast during the bank holiday weekend, so were delighted to find the Bay Tree Cafe. It was easy to park nearby and the staff were friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the breakfasts were excellent quality and a good size! Coffee and tea were also great value without compromising quality. This will definitely become... More
