The big atraction with the Cary Arms is the setting which gives it a head start in the dining stakes, the pub restaurant is laid out to make the most of the view and is well spaced and has a nice feel to it. We...More

At £9.90p a round, the fresh crab sandwiches on the light lunch menu sounded mouthwatering. Served between two slices of granary bread, a light lemon and dill mayonnaise coated a generous portion of crab that was quite frankly - tasteless! What had they done to...More

We walked along from Oddicombe beach, and had a drink at this place. We sat outside which was lovely, enjoying the flowers and the amazing view. We didn't eat, but we gathered it would be very expensive to do so! Would probably go back for...More

Down to the cliff bottom by a steep driveway (1 in 3 ), well worth the adventure. Party of six, we all had local fish and very well prepared it was. They turned the music down on our request, nice to have a conversation without...More

Stopped after a long walk down, prices were ridiculous! £11 for 3 drinks 2 of which were cokes! Views were nice enough but would never go back as staff weren't exactly welcoming, seemed to look down their noses quite abit.

For starters, the view is enough to discard any bad points if there were any, luckily for us, there were none! The Cary Arms is in a stunning location and the pub itself it just as good as the view. Reasonable prices for what you...More

Lovely restaurant, but ask for a table with a view! The staff are delightful and very helpful. The first night we sat in the conservatory and shared the scallop starter (cooked to perfection), followed by the Cajun salmon salad (fresh and delicious) and the 3...More

Visited for Sunday lunch. Beautiful setting and great views out to sea. Staff are very attentive. Food is almost perfect... my Sunday roast was a little dry and my beef was not as rare as I'd like. Recommended.

When I went on a sunday, the whole menu was still available, along with specials and the usual roast options. The roast was very good and very popular.

The rooms don't have air-conditioning but all have slatted wooden blinds so once the sun gets hot in the summer, the shading is easy to control without losing the view. The windows and doors open and all rooms do have an... More

Open for lunch and dinner, the Cary Arms is a 5 star inn with luxury accommodation and exceptional panoramic sea-views. Choose from dining outdoors on sunnier days or a cosy table in the inn by the fireside. The Conservatory is perfect for larger parties and can be booked for exclusive use subject to availability. Reservations for dining are always recommended if you are not staying. Lunch is served from 12 noon to 3pm and dinner from 6.30pm to 9pm. If you haven't reserved in advance, we will always try to find you a table but we can't guarantee it. Relaxed and friendly, the lunch menus include a choice of soup and lighter snacks as well as sandwiches. In the evening, dining is more formal and the location very romantic. Menus include classic gastro-inn dishes featuring the best of fresh, seasonal, locally produced ingredients including excellent fish. Great wine list and a choice of local ales. Well-behaved children and dogs welcome. An adjacent car park offers pay-and display parking.
