Six of us went for a mid week meal in this pub. Very pleasantly surprised....traditional pub setting but fabulous menu and the food lived up to highest expectations!

We went here on a busy bonfire night. We had an extremely warm welcome and shown to our table by a friendly staff member. The pub itself is rustic, rural with its own micro brewery. The menu is great with vegetarian options different to those found in most pubs and the specials board was extensive. I had the lamb rump... More

This delightful restaurant was a regular favourite when frequent trips to Devon were the "norm" five years + ago. It has since changed ownership. Happily Will and Victoria have carried on where Mike and Jan left off. A great ambiance - one half busy bar area , the other half comfortable restaurant area. Welcoming staff, prompt service, the usual (and... More

We went there on Saturday for a light lunch and I was really looking forward to returning as we used to go there as children with family all the time and I wanted to show my partner. We arrived and wasn't creates with a warm welcome; we politely asked if they were still doing food and the barman pointed to... More

Returning hungry we werent disapointed Excellent cider... More

Really nice gastro pub with superb service, varied menu and great food simply served. Really fantastic fish pie and deliciously naughty lemon posset. Highly recommend for families or romantic meals out as friendly and attractive! Good veggie and fish as well as meat and range of desserts.

After a tough week at work my boyfriend and I chose an old favourite to relax in. The quiet and companionship of the pub kept beautifully warm by the open log fire keeping the chill of the day off, we tucked into the home brewed ales on offer. As you would expect they are kept in tip top condition .... More
