Visited with a large party of hens for cocktail making masterclass and 3 course dinner afterwards. The upstairs cocktail lounge is brilliant, fantastic decor and retro features. Ryan made the class fantastic with his extensive knowledge and allowing everyone the time to make cocktails of their choice. The food afterwards was outstanding, everyone commented on how delicious it was. Would... More

Despite its choice of denomination, It’s not really that odd this destination. Downstairs is comfy with ales and wines, They do food too, most of the time. Upstairs is cocktails, it’s their little speakeasy, They are really good too, I’ve never left queasy. In the middle of town, it’s a nice cozy joint, An excellent choice for enjoying a pint.

Came here with my friends on a Saturday night, had some cocktails (the smokey Joe was particularly amazing)...had such a good time that we decided to come back for the astounding roast the next day (I would recommend booking). Couldn't recommend this place more!

I called in yesterday after being on a adventure round Exeter with my daughter, when I went in I quickly asked if children were allowed in and to my surprise I was greeted with " yes of course I like kids " we settled down and the staff couldn't be more helpful, my daughter had a snack of olives and... We went here (large group) for cocktail masterclass and dinner and it was a great afternoon/evening. Very impressed. The food was outstanding. If I lived locally this would definitely be a regular place to go, highly recommend!

We had an amazing time here on Saturday. We had booked a table and ended up in a snug which was fab! Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and her knowledge of the menu and drinks menu was great. The food was out of this world and cocktails were delicious, cannot wait to come back!

A short but really smart, well-designed menu: easy to quickly choose from but a wide range for all sort of wants (traditional British, vegan, vegetarian, healthy, trendy, local ingredients, steak and chips, mussels, for the ones whose want to try something unexpected) -- one of the most pleasant menu I've seen. The meals are delivering expectations, absolutely delicious. Great for... More

I practically order a soup for laughs whenever I go out. Majority of the people think it is as easy as throwing some stuff together and boiling it. Nope it is not. It also says a lot about a chef. Cauliflower at its best is being served at the Oddfellows, Exeter. There is nothing better after the workout than a... More

Have been here a few times but the last couple have not been so great. They do a good lunch deal with a limited menu for around £10 for 2 courses. Ordered the chcken liver parfait with tomato marmalade and thin toast. Not nearly enough toast to go with the parfait but it was good. Fish and chips for man... More

Really memorable evening for all the right reasons. Super food, lovely interior and good service. Nice that it's not a chain. We will look forward to a return visit

Description
The Oddfellows is a stone's throw away from Exeter's main shopping centre. This is a very friendly unpretentious gastro style pub, with a sociable, down to earth atmosphere. With a fantastic lunch starting at £10 for 2 courses, but still offering some pub classics like fish & chips, but one properly! Fine Ale, in the Good Pub Guide 2014 & 2015, awaiting 2016 result! Great wines! Just take a load off and visit us!
