Great location in the heart of Tintagel and stones throw from the steep climb of the castle. It is a beautiful and well maintained pub with a lovely outside seating area joining the road. Great for people watching. It is also sheltered from the wind so a real sun trap. The pub is dog friendly and at our request the... More

Myself I had the huntsman chicken which was very tasty we both finished off with Apple pie and clotted cream which was heavenly! Reasonably priced £45 in total with a large red and pint of... More

Took the family in for an evening meal. The staff were friendly and the place was "oldie worldie modern" - so clean but made to look authentic. The food was very good but I thought the portions were a little on the small size. Unfortunately the choice was limited because they'd had a rush at lunchtime and so many dishes... More

Stopped here after a visit to the Castle for cheesy chips and cider. Well worth the stop; chatty bar staff, a lovely location and the chips were good.

We ate at the Ye Olde Malthouse in Tintagel on both Friday and Saturday night and the food was absolutely marvellous. The restaurant has been taken over by a new Chef and now being called Guinevere's at Ye Olde Malthouse. Well all I can say is Guinevere obviously knew the way to her Lancelot's heart was through his stomach. On... More

An excellent restaurant, good choice and ample portion sizes. Can be busy during high season so may have to wait for a table

Had a wonderful stay here with my wife. The pub is a lovely old building that has a fantastic owner who is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean. The restaurant serves up good quality food, we had dinner and breakfast here and was more than happy with it. All in all a great place to... More

after a week in tintagel we decided to have dinner here before heading home the next day... Sadly this time of year this one's only open Friday and Saturday evenings but it was worth the wait. a very charming and timeless pub to have dinner which has the right mix of atmosphere with candles and 30s and 40s music played... Can recommend this boozer. The owner is a top bloke (apart from the fact he's from Birmingham). We love it. We spend more time in here than at home. Very friendly place.
