We had read about the Victory Inn in various guide books and spotted it when we visited St Mawes this week. Although the whole area was extremely quiet, and the Inn itself was even quieter we were given an extremely warm welcome. Attentive service immediately and the food was quickly served. We opted for mussels, which were served with some... More

Lovely pub just off the harbour side offering a great selection of ales. We called in several times during our weekend break - A snack lunch on Saturday produced lovely tomato soup, sandwiches and homemade pate. We could have chose from a blackboard of specials but will keep those for our next visit. Service from the young barman was friendly... More

Just a quick drink with my mum. It took my old a little time to navigate up the stairs and through the rickety door. Small quaint pub, basic range of beers and wines. It does sell food but the kitchens were closed when we arrived. Its a pub, nothing more...

We had a really well cooked dinner in the Victory Inn. Two of us had different fish dishes and thought it cooked perfectly. We sat in the bar and drank a couple of pints of good local beer and thought the informal atmosphere was nice too. The food was reasonably priced and the service was friendly and efficient. The décor... More

We had a beer here overlooking the sea. They have two real ales on offer, we sat outside which gate a good view of the pier with boats coming and going.

Whilst staying in St Mawes our party of 5 ate in this pub/ restaurant most evenings. It was very popular and we found it necessary to book a table.

This is a traditional harbour pub and is a little shabby but the food is brilliant. We stopped off for the fish and chips deal and didn't based on on an earlier TA review and it was delicious so we returned for another meal at the weekend. The place was full with locals and visitors and the staff were very... More

This is a proper old boozer and downstairs is typical of an old pub. We had great food here and the service was very good too but the upstairs eating area really needs a refurb; the decor was 1980's, the lighting was awful and this atmosphere really detracted from the very good and tasty food. They need to get someone... More

Went in here and did not even get a Hello -just "we are not serving lunch, you can't take the dog upstairs". No smile or pleasantry. The barman served us with a drink, and then proceeded to tell other customers how rude people were to him, and how he had treated these customers, boasting of his own ill manners. Is... More
