Delicious fish n chips, might be a little pricier than others but cooked fresh and good sized portions - and seem to be open slightly longer hours than others, with ample convenient parking which is a massive bonus Thumbs up all round 😁👍🏼

We have been using Becks since it opened and it always delivers. The Stone family maintain a good standard and always appear to welcome customers both regular and new very warmly.

We expected so much more. Fish in batter great, but the chips, Scampi and 'Goan Fish Curry' special were very, very poor. So can only assume they have several 'chefs' given others have awarded 5 stars. Waited 30 minutes for a table on a Friday...More

There is a reason why the queue is outside the door and heading in to the car park on a Friday night and this is because Becks serves the best fish and chips in the area. We have only ever had takeaways but this is...More

The owner of our B&B suggested we go here for a meal and I have to say, we were not disappointed. The restaurant was extremely busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. We sat in...More

Becks does not have outdoor setting. I don't believe they allow dogs. See if there is a way to email them to ask directly.

I do believe that a certain member of staff once stroked a dog in the 80's but this may just be a rumour put about by the locals.

Becks has expanded into a restaurant with bar and lounge area to complement the still thriving take-away. The restaurant area itself seats over 100 people. Becks does not take reservations, although notification of parties over 9 people is recommended. The main selling point and one of the major credentials is that Becks offer gluten free options. All types of fish (Cod, Haddock, Hake, Plaice), scampi and pizzas are available with this option. For customers choosing to sit in the restaurant there is also a range of desserts on offer that are gluten free. Becks is the only fish and chip shop in a 6 mile radius that offer gluten free products.
