We visit St Ives most years and have breakfast here at least twice, during our weeks stay. This time the food was definitely well below the quality we were expecting. Eggs, undercooked. Bacon nearly incinerated. Sausage overcooked. This place relies on reputation ... think its lost it for us.

We were recommended Porthmeor Cafe by our B&B owners as one of the best places to eat in St Ives, and it was a great call. The Tapas menu was delicious, small(ish) plates with some fantastic flavours. Particularly tasty were the Lamb with feta, mint, beans and pomegranate - and for dessert, the salted chocolate & olive oil tart. The... More

In our 3 day break we popped in twice the coffee is fantastic my partner had a scone with clotted cream and jam which was very reasonable. The second time we shared a cheese board with 3 different cheeses very tasty and presented. The views are equally important and this has it in abundance a firm favourite from now on...

Right on the beach - well at the entrance to the beach, raised up with views over the whole beach area. Get a drink and just watch the sea and sand, and surfers. The staff - all smiling, and attentive and helpful. The food, high quality and delicious. Would recommend this for anyone looking for something special in St.Ives.

My husband and I went here in the evening because I heard the tapas was great and thought it would be lovely to see the sun set. Great place, lovely menu but what let's it down is all the staff seem to be so busy rushing around everywhere which doesn't make it very relaxing. You would think it would be... More

We had tapas around 5pm and lucky to get a table for 3 of us! The beach was just stunning! Beautiful. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The portion as tapas was larger than I was expecting. Considering the location and so on. Highly recommended!

We've been coming to st.Ives for 9 years together and this has always remained our favourite restuarant every time we come down. The service, food, waitresses are all perfect. We leave it to our last night as we always have our best meal here. The view is stunning and i think its table number 2 by the window has the... More

We have been to Porthmeor cafe for breakfast many times and it never disappoints. There were 6 of us 4 adults and 2 children . We sat outside in one of the pods with heating . The best view of Porthmeor beach . Breakfast was great and the children had the pancakes which they really enjoyed. Staff great as always.... More
