We came here as the Dolphin Tavern was going to be a long wait for service and wanted to get food and out of the rain, glad we did. It's not a fine dining place but it does pub food very well, I had the steak and ale pie - beef was delicious - tender like it had been slow... More

Something of a strange ambience in the bar, but this was probably largely down to the pub closing the following Sunday, I'm sure. No food available despite being told by email food was available and I even sent an email requesting a table booking. Website didn't work either, but I think these things again could be related to imminent closure.... More

A warm refuge from the crazy weather that rules in Penzance in December. We were joining in the Montol celebrations and the final part involves bonfires and flaming torches, which in such strong winds was a little scary, met a lovely woman who usually leads the celebrations and she led us into the Dock Inn with her lovely Dad. It... More

Best fish I've eaten in a long time. Cleared the plate and enjoyed the meal very much. Friendly place to eat and a really good place to stay.

Always love to eat at this pub as they serve fantastic tasting food, and great range of alcohol and have a very chilled and relaxing atmosphere. The service is always great and the waiters/waitresses are very polite and helpful!

Dined here a couple of times in our 13 days in Penzance. Can't fault the food for taste but we did wind up with something 'amended' from the menu as items had run out. Must be the first eatery we've been in that ran out of vegetables! Otherwise reasonably good, service generally good but our second visit wasn't as good... More

We enjoyed a pretty good traditional type meal in this atmospheric pub with excellent service. Starters were about £6.00 and mains £12 -£18. Apart from finding the creamy sauce with the mussels a bit thin, we enjoyed whitebait, mussels, chicken breast and a casserole. Drinks were normal pub prices. The dessert menu was a bit disappointing and we made do... More

Description
The popular Dock Inn is located in the heart of Penzance’s historic harbour-side area. The Dock has a good old fashioned pub atmosphere, with scrubbed pine tables, polished wooden floors, two open fires, comfy leather sofas and all sorts of nautical and other memorabilia! In the ‘lower deck’ you can watch the world go by through bi-fold doors overlooking Quay Street. You’ll get friendly service, banter, top quality home-made pub food (if you get peckish) and will be made to feel welcome whether you’re on your own or with a group of friends. We have live music most Friday’s and we also have a popular weekly jam session every Tuesday from 9pm where both musicians and spectators are welcome! We do the best Sunday Roast in town! We have a well thought out (and well sampled!) wine list, a wide range of bar drinks and choice of 3 excellent real ales including the legendary Spingo brewed in Helston. In the warmer summer months you can relax in our sunny courtyard garden. In the winter we have a heated smoking area for our customers enjoyment. As well as offering excellent value food & drinks, we have 3 quality en-suite B&B rooms – a perfect place to relax.
