We booked our table for 6.30,stood awkwardly for about 5mins by the please wait here sign, eventually wandered into the restaurant and 'alerted' the two waitresses who were in deep conversation. Once seated service was swift. Our table was the only one without a candle, although a minor detail would have been nice. My partner had the hunters chicken and... More

We visited this restaurant on Saturday night as a Hen Party. We were booked in, and arrived on time. However when we were seated we were told we would have to wait before they took our orders as they were too busy in the kitchen. We were not offered anything and had to ask for some bread which was a... More

Hi Jacs, Firstly, after this weekend we are actually no longer accepting Stag & Hen groups in the middle of our dining hours, we are moving towards just casual dining and birthday groups. I apologise to yourselves for waiting ten minutes in our bar area and then the same time at the table, as you could see no one else... More

Took hubby here for his birthday meal and loved it. Setting was great and took him back to his Royal Navy days with the décor, seating and sea shanties. Food was excellent and we were introduced to the delights of Wooden Hand Brewery too. The email booking system was great - fast response and late at night when our previous... More

Had a fantastic meal, once again the service was fantastic and the food was mouthwatering. I had the moules mariner, definitely worth having.

Lovely place. The regular waiters were given a night off as it was Christmas eve so the bosses were running around a bit but the service was great and very friendly and attentive. We had the Fruits de la Mer between 3 of us which was plenty of seafood and very messy fingers as there is a lot of shell... More

We had a great night in this rum bar. Cocktails were flowing and we were spolit by the staff who were friendly and had the right amount of banter to make it a fun time. The carpet was rather sticky by the bar and I do question this as a floor surface in that area personally but, the rest of... More

Well worth the walk up the hill to this restaurant. Large comprehensive menu and good prices. The staff are warm and friendly and very welcoming. Very large outside terrace with excellent views over Newquay and the beaches. Also good views from inside the restaurant on a rainy day. Dog friendly on the terrace.

Me and my boyfriend came here with two friends after they recommended it to us. We walked in and found it slightly cold although the decoration and atmosphere was really nice, we all ordered a drink each which took around 20 minutes to arrive and they forgot my friends drink. Next we ordered our starters and mains the waitress was... More

Without a doubt the best T-bone steak I've had in a long time. Cooked to perfection. This was my first visit but I will be going back to try some of the other items on the menu. Good value for money.
