I'm heavily disabled and in a powerchair.. The Cribbar is under new management, but is just as good, if not better than when it was under Wetherspoons.. I can drive straight in, they have lifts and excellent toileting facilities. The staff were amazing, and as it was quite quiet they had time for chat, which is nice when you are... More

As a regular it has been a shame to see this place change hands and slowly drop downhill. I know it's been a recent changes but the menu has lost its appeal and seeing more food return to the kitchen than be served during our 45 minute visit dosent bode well. Manageress could do with learning how to speak to... More

Went for a long weekend, staying in Newquay. Had a lovely meal in the Cribbar to finish off our day. Both not too hungry so opted for the Shareboard which was only £8.99 on a Saturday. Nice clean surroundings and staff were friendly and helpful.

Big chain pub but not a 'spoons anymore, maybe that's why barman Will knew the locals by name and was most helpful in speaking to kitchen staff to find out about ingredients in different dishes, the burrito I had was freshly made - I know this because I asked them to leave the cheese out. There's nothing historic about the... More

I visited the Cribber on a Saturday night. The pub wasn't terribly busy and had a good selection of beers. I had a delicious double burger with curly fries. The Cribber became very lively at nine o'clock, in particular two hen parties and one stag party arrived. Worth a visit

Called in a few years ago and it was a Wetherspoons. Now they are a different chain but the place still has the Wetherspoons vibe. Big food, reasonable drink prices. Toilets were strange but clean. Well located for the beach and town centre.

Improved decor since becoming part of Stonegate. However, before it changed hands I paid about £2 for a pint of Ale. Last night I was charged nearly £4.50!!! Similarly, a glass of wine has jumped up by £1 or more. I suppose I'll need to walk to the Towan Blystra in future.

More than 100 summer jobs have been created in Newquay with the opening of a new £2m pub.
The Cribbar will employ 130 in the peak holiday season and about half that at other times, said operator JD Wetherspoon.
It takes its name from the Cribbar reef, which stretches out under the sea from Towan Head.
Newquay Safe, a partnership of local authorities and police, welcomed the new pub.
