Relaxing and friendly atmosphere for visitors. Good range of food. Convenient with adequate on site parking. We returned twice to eat, during our week in Qintrell Down and this, I think, says it all.

We visited this pub on the 12th of April, without a reservation. Approaching the reception desk, I got a distinct feeling we were unwelcome. Although most of the tables were empty, we were given the one nearest the bar, where all the locals congregate for a pint and a chat. We ordered battered fish and chips, and burger and chips.... Based on the rating of this restaurant being one of the best in Newquay and staying just down the road at the Premier Inn it seemed like the best option to avoid having to eat in the Premier Inn. I booked in without issue but was told when I asked if a menu was available online that they don't have... More

Booked a table at this Pub as it was our friends birthday while we were on holiday over the Easter weekend .Based on Trip Advisor reviews we decided it looked like a good choice to celebrate her birthday as we were staying at the Premier Inn just down the road. We were in the restaurant side of the pub which... More

If this is number 9 in Newquay restaurants I dread to think how poor the others are as this was nothing special. We were asked if we wanted to sit in the restaurant or bar - we opted for the restaurant, and were immediatley placed in a walkway between the bar and restaurant. When we asked to move into the... Stopped in for dinner whilst in the area based on reviews, we weren't to be disappointed. The food was excellent - I had lamb whilst my girlfriend had a burger, both of which were cooked to perfection and generous in their portions. The staff were friendly, the pub was nicely presented and the selection of drinks was good. All in... More

Food was good my partner and friend really enjoyed there burgers and onion rings, desserts where also very good sticky toffee pudding was huge. Pub is very nice looking although you would have to be a giant to reach the sink and dryer in the toilet. Staff where ok, friendly and did enough to get by.

My wife and I stayed locally at "The Hideaway at Colan, nr Watergate bay and dined at the Two Clomes for dinner with our Great Dane, on a number of occassions. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and always willing to go the extra mile to make our visit the best it could be. The landlord (Phil) was great... More

Visited for Sunday lunch today. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Roast beef really tender and everything was tasty. To top it off we shared a sticky toffee pudding which was also amazing! Really well priced as well. Would definitely recommend.
