I have visited this restaurant once before (5* Review) so I just had to share the experience with my family when we came for the festival. What a huge disappointment!! There was no surf and turf and no main menu. We found that out after ordering. We were then given a small revised menu and the only thing anyone fancied... More

We spoke with a barman in a nearby pub, and in conversation, he suggested the 'Trawlers restaurant' would be a good option. Offering mainly fish options, the choices suited me, my wife and our friends with widespread options, super flavours and very satisfied customers. Will look to travel there again ......

We went here after finding the restaurant we had originally planned to visit was shut. This place looks more like a cafe from outside despite the full bar at the back - but dont be deceived - the food is first class. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The soft shell crab was the best I have ever had... More

Have visited this restaurant in years past and had good well cooked fresh fish but on this occasion the menu was peeled back and only frozen fish served up coated in like bread crumbs etc so was not happy at all as it was a treat in the past to visit.

We have been to Trawlers on the Quay several times in the past few years, but won't be going again. The setting is great, but the new management have taken the whole place down market - 'though the wine list is still at up market prices. Our food was certainly OK, but no more & this isn't the Trawlers on... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the years under different owners when staying in Looe. This is the first visit for 2 years and it was the worst experience. No menus for food or wine. My husband had to go to the front counter to pick our wine. Our table was under the blackboard and so difficult to... More

In desperate need of some Looe caught scallops we went here on our second night. Menu's had to be read from blackboards against the wall, whilst standing. No scallops, no this and none of that, at this point I was on the verge of leaving but had already ordered drinks so we persevered. I had the monkfish for starter and... More

This was our third visit and the food, as ever, was brilliant. There were a few dishes that were unavailable but this didn't really affect us as they had everything we wanted! Service was Ok & I think it is fair to say the guys working front of house have more to learn but hey everyone has to start somewhere.... More

Took friends here for lunch. I live in the town! Very disappointed. A fish restaraunt, no scallops! No new potatoes. No menus to read....they were being printed. The upstairs toilet was dirty.....washbasin was filthy, and the loo had never seen a drop of bleach. Come on Trawlers, prime location, not good.

The food was very good, although several items, including steak, scallops and new potatoes were not available. There were no menus only a menu board. The waiter did his best and was very friendly. My dish should have had scallops but chef replaced them with crevettes. This was fine except I think a finger bowl should be provided as they are messy to eat.... More
