Dinner at the restaurant was superb. The service was of the best - just the right balance of formality and friendliness. Canapés were unusual and delicious as was the other food on the menu. Choice of bread, and selection of cheese outstanding. The sommelier was...More

Chef's tasting menus have become the hallmark of fine dining. Getting the balance right and retaining the interest of the table is not straightforward. The tasting menu here is rather restrained, not going for show and succeeded. Our party enjoyed the dishes and enjoyed discussing...More

Excellent food, awesome bread selection and superb cheese board. The only improvement suggestion would be regarding the decor and atmosphere. The dining room is nicely decorated but the style is perhaps a little dated and less fresh/upbeat than other restaurants I have visited of this...More

The Grosvenor is always a treat on a visit to Chester but I hadn't eaten in the Simon Radley before and it was superb. We had a business lunch with delicious food, appropriately attentive service and an informed sommelier. Thoroughly recommended.

A great restaurant for that special occasion. I would recommend the tasting menu based on the sheer variety of impeccably prepared food offered and be sure to go with the wine pairing. The canapés were amazing and unexpected including crispy cod skin with caviar... and...More

A great evening with brilliant food and excellent service. Whilst some dishes weren't to everyone's taste within the group, overall there wasn't one dish which failed to please us all. Tasting menu was excellent and the wine flight option was a nice addition. Would throughly...More

Hi there, The tasting menu wine flight is priced at £49.50 or bottles on the list start at approximately £28. There is also a great choice of wines by the glass or carafe.

Description
Simon Radley at The Chester Grosvenor, has held a Michelin star for nineteen years running surely a record outside of London. Under the direction of Executive Chef Simon Radley the exceptional modern British menu changes seasonally and uses only the finest ingredients. The cellar is also renowned, having one thousand bins and a sommelier of prodigious knowledge. The dining room itself is as dashing as you would expect with comfy chairs, oriental carpets, fine woods, original artwork, ebony pillars and many-layered tones of gold and taupe. The service is distinguished by its warmth and professionalism. Top marks.
