Prior to visiting Midsummer House today I checked out Trip Advisor reviews and while most are favorable one or two left me concerned so we went with an open mind. Whilst food is subjective we need not have had concerns and find those comments somewhat...More

I travel extensively and have experienced many Michelin star restaurants and know what is and what is not - especially when an establishment is awarded two. I was warned in South Africa by a wealthy friend not to bother going to MH but ignored the...More

Midsummer House provides an ideal venue for that very special occasion. The setting, a unprepossessing house overlooking Midsummer Common with its majestic trees, is delightful: an understated but truly elegant décor, white table linen, candlelight, the tree outside sparkling in tiny fairy lights. The staff...More

We always love Midsummer House. The staff, the menu and the experience are faultless. It is still overpriced however compared to some fantastic restaurants in the Uk and Europe

8 course tasting menu with their flight of wines, about £250 p/p. Wonderful food but difficult to give you the menu as it changes regularly.

Description
With its divine location right on the River Cam, Midsummer House is among East Anglias best restaurants. Once youve finished punting down the river and taking in the sights and sounds of the beautiful university city of Cambridge, pay Midsummer House a visit. Relaxed and elegant, with a sunny conservatory and perfect al fresco dining for warm summer evenings, this modern British restaurant offers a wide range of creative dishes with a sophisticated touch learned by Chef Patron Daniel Clifford throughout his years in Britain and Frances best restaurants. Passionate about ingredients, Clifford even uses the harvest from Midsummer Houses own 80 year old apple trees in his cookery.
