I had lunch here with my husband on 25 November and we had a lovely meal. The pub was very busy but the service was friendly and as quick as it could be. We were told immediately there was a 40 minute wait for food,...More

Have been here a few times and found it pretty good: decent food at decent prices and very friendly staff. So I'm really sorry to be writing this. I had a steak, mushroom and ale pie. Big mistake. Pie was full of brown gloop tasting...More

We had a delicious dinner with some drinks. It was quite busy and the ambiance was nice. The service was good but not exceptional. The price range was affordable.

We arrived for the value breakfast deal on a Sunday morning (18th November). It took an absolute age for it to arrive, and when it did most of the food was rather cold and my poached eggs were hard. The quality of the food was...More

Great pub with loads of beer choices and authentic board games! Good atmosphere even for an early lunchtime visit. Many menu choices out of stock though, so that precluded the 5th star.

It is a middle of the road pub wearing a little from use and only the slightly better than average menu saved it from a lower rating. The toilets were not fresh and one left gladly.
