Always a pleasure to come to this homely and lively pub. Can't wait for the summer when the garden will be my watering hole.

I had the kids sunday dinner which was generous enough for £5, so if you fancy saving a few bucks that's my suggestion to you, lovely atmosphere and nice garden :)

This is our local pub but we have not eaten at the Lazy Dog before, we do however drink there at least a couple of times a month. Having heard such great things about the roast we decided to treat ourselves last Sunday. The food is amazing and excellent value for money. I had the pork belly which was so... More

Just great on every level. Well except the secret is out, so its sometimes hard to get a table. Had the buttermilk chicken burger last week. So big, tender, well cooked. Have eaten here many times and always great. Staff always super friendly. I can take my dog there. It somehow manages to be a proper pub (good drinks, good... More

We came on a Sunday at 1.30 and it took a while to find somewhere to sit. However, it was worth the wait. We both had the lamb roast and it was so tasty! My boyfriend loved the parsnips. The atmosphere is loud but fun - lots of kids when we came and cute dogs. Staff is friendly and helpful.... More

I am an occasional customer and have been since it opened, normally having a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. Yesterday I dropped round for more of the same. I was guided by the always helpful staff and chose loin of venison. It was outstanding. The meat was perfect, rare and tender, accompanied by beetroot, asparagus, pureed parsnip... More

Read TA reviews and decided to give it a go; not disappointed in any way shape or form. Very relaxed and friendly welcome, knowledgeable people, great menu choices and a well thought through wine list. We've been twice so far and the food is really well cooked and presented. All round, thoroughly recommended.

A refurbished pub with a large central bar just off the Gloucester Road in a mainly residential area. A good range of real ales and cider, and also some 'craft keg' beer (if you must!).
