We are a family staying at the Mains Wigwams for the weekend looking for somewhere to eat within walking distance with kids. When we walked in at 6.30pm last night (Friday) it was very busy which was encouraging! We received a warm welcome felt at home straight away. Looking at smiles on all the customers faces i knew we had... More

loved this lovely pub, it had oak beams, and had open fires in it. It was a really quaint pub, the food was good home cooked food and if I ever went to callendar again I would not hesitate to pay it a visit. We went on a week day and it was still very busy, so if I was... More

We have been meaning to go to the Lion & Unicorn since coming to Stirling for the first time a year ago. We only wish we had done so sooner. We were welcomed enthusiastically by a Madeline. The weather was warm enough for us to eat a late lunch in the neat and tidy beer garden to the rear. We... More

A good selection of pub grub, I chose the 3 cheese macaroni which came with chips. The macaroni was lovely, really creamy and plenty of cheese. Normally I wouldn't... More

What a delightful dinner was had by all. Party of 17 beautifully catered for by an extremely competent friendly staff. Large range of items on the menu with a little something for all tastes. Starters are varied, homemade soup to my extra favourite muscles either garlic and wine or Thai style. Steak pie, amazing steaks at very reasonable prices, gammon... More

I have been going to Lion and Unicorn, on and off since I was a child, some 40 odd years .... The quality of food, service and the atmosphere are second to none. The Large open fire warming on colder nights, the friendly waiting staff and fresh ingredients will make any visit here a delight. It is well with the... More
