We were incredibly lucky to have this gem next to the place where we were staying. On the basis of a great French Onion soup at lunchtime, we booked for dinner and returned the next day for cream tea. Service was the best. Loved all the crockery and furniture. Unbelievable.

I love this place and if I had to eat my last meal, this is where it would be. Locally sourced ingredients; each menu is delicately prepared with every nuance of flavour extracted. I have enjoyed crab served with coastal cheddar in a scallop shell, local plaice pan fried with wild garlic butter and crushed potatoes, delectable vegetables, heavenly desserts,... More

With four friends just as the Sunday roast reappears, we all chose the roast from the delightfully straightforward and quite short menu featuring locally sourced... More

Delightful venue with a 1950s feel, for lunch or just a lovely cup of tea served in a china cup and saucer with a slice of homemade cake. The service was extremely friendly with delicious food from a varied menu.

A stunning tiny tea room full of vintage charm and delight. The most delicious Smoked haddock on wilted leeks for breakfast!! And the best coffee within miles!! Make sure you book at peak times and be aware of their opening times as seasonally changes.

We dropped in for lunch as a family after a fantastic walk, and what a way to end it! The food was outstanding. The smoked haddock was particularly impressive, as was the venison burger. We are very pleased to have found this place and will certainly be back.

Superb, quaint place with good seating area. We got a warm welcome and a great service, The menu is very good and they use local produce. The service was quick and when the tea and cakes came they were superb. It is busy so be prepared.

Oh my! Perfect warm scones, delicious jam and tasty cream. Tea was a tasty brew too. The mis-matched vintage china feels over-worked in other places, but here it just felt charming and appropriate. Very good value too.
