My wife and I have been here several times, the last tim was in July 2016. We went with my father-in-law for his birthday. Very much a family setting eatery, good food and friendly staff

Called in for take out cod & chips, were going to have a one piece and a two piece, decided to go with 4 piece family pack. Could have gone with a two piece, nice big pieces, hot crispy fries, not greasy at all. Great dinner!

Location is great, with potentially beautiful view spoiled by parking lot and garbage bins. The decor is underwhelming, kind of character less greasy spoon vibe but the fish tacos were delicious. Maybe take out is the best solution.

To be fair, my other half enjoyed our meal we shared, he said it was good enough. But I was disapointed. I was looking for a good burger and fries. This was the most average chicken burger with the standard thick cut fries The chicken breast was quite small, the veggies were limited with one single limpy piece of lettuce.... More

We had been to The Rock Cod a couple times before, one time it wasn't bad, the second time we were seated in a chilly area and we felt the food was greasy . However we were visiting family and when it came time to go for dinner this place was recommended, and one of our party said they had... More

Given the location and the tourist business, this could have been very average, but it was in fact much better than that. Good seafood pleasantly served and at a reasonable price.

The restaurant was full on a Friday night in November. Parking is always difficult in Cowichan Bay as it is a very popular town. We all had the special seafood stew at $18.99. It came with a great salad. The stew was creamy and tasty- nicely presented. A very popular restaurant with good prices for the quality.

The chowder was delicious, and the fish and chips were the best! Can't say enough about this special place! Service was friendly and the views were great! The Irish coffee was delicious too!

Found this place about 2 years ago. Now every time we go to the island this place is a must stop.. Husband always has the fish and chips and i always have the bowl of clam chowder. By far 1 of my favorite clam chowders.

Thank Jackie B
