Googled places to eat near to where me and my husband were staying. Found this place - excellent food, service and price - can't fault it. It is also a B&B so will consider this in the future.

Great beer and the the slow cooked belly pork with black pudding and apple gravy plus all trimmings was amazing. Best ever. If you don't have a very large appetite have the smaller portion. Called at lunchtime on 13tg Jan meals served promptly,Belly Pork and Black pudding top notch,Stilton and beef pie the same, home made chips really good,good real ale as well

Cosy pub in quiet village, looking over sheep grazing in fields. Restaurant quality food at lower than average pub prices.

Very nice lunch with family. Top quality food with excellent service. Would highly recommend.My partner had the steak he said it was superb. Dogs made very welcome.

We called in here at 15:03 on a Sunday after 2 carvery lunches. Rudely told they stop serving at 15:00 yet there was a lady just helping herself to the carvery as we asked…..& all the food was still cooked, served under the lights. What...a waste!! They obviously haven’t been financially hit by closing during Covid-19 & don’t need the custom. Such a unfriendly welcome that we wouldn’t be bothering again. I’d suggest trying these instead The Coach & Horses, The Bowling Green or Bentley Inn where you’ll receive a super friendly welcome!More
